.NET Technical Manager for a major international IT project

EUROPEAN DYNAMICS (ED) is in the process of implementing a major international project.

ED is looking for experienced .NET Technical Manager to become leader of the implementation team. Successful candidate will participate in large-scale software implementation projects, spending their time both in Athens and abroad.

The job position regards Web environments and Web solutions. More specifically, the successful candidate will be involved in the following activities:

• Software architecture design for Internet/Intranet applications
• Day-to-day technical monitoring of multinational software development teams
• Definition of design and coding practices and monitoring of their implementation
• Definition and monitoring of Software Quality Assurance.

Qualifications and experience required:

• University degree in Computer Science,
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, UML, Client Server, multi-tier Architecture,
• Sound knowledge of functional systems and Microsoft Applications,
• 3+ years of experience as senior developer or leader of development teams,
• Management skills and team-work spirit,
• Excellent knowledge of English (other languages such as French, German, etc. would be an asset),
• Ability to travel and work under pressure,
• Thorough understanding of Web Services, SOA and Design Patterns.

At least 5 years experience with the following tools and technologies:

• ASP.NET 1.1, 2.0,
• Visual Studio .NET 2003, 2005 (C# and VB.NET),
• Web forms and applications,
• Web Services (XSLT, XML HTTP/SOAP),
• XML, CSS, JavaScript,
• Microsoft Enterprise Library for .NET Framework 1.1, 2.0,
• Developing and optimizing Web applications for scalability and performance,
• Designing, optimizing, maintaining, and connecting to SQL Server 2003,2005 databases,
• Knowledge of configuring and developing on MS Exchange platform,
• Strong SQL skills,
• Coding and using stored procedures,
• Configuring security features for Web applications, including authentication and authorization,
• Performing software validation (planning, execution, tracking, developing test cases and test data).
