The successful candidate will be part of Covve’s senior team and exclusively focused on delivering the first commercial version of the software.

Working in Covve’s agile product development team to create the Covve software, collaborating with our designers and business leads. Working in collaboration with senior software engineers to bring a broad range of skills, focussed on front-end development.

We feel that the time has come for the address book to make way to something more relevant than the rolodex style format it has maintained. We have designed and developed a prototype of a software-as-a-service, B2B tool for address book visualisation, management and business lead generation.

Covve is about to revolutionise how individuals and corporations capitalise on their network of contacts.

Key responsibilities

• Working in collaboration with our senior software engineers, business leads and designers to:
• Take ownership of packages of web development work and deliver them on time and on spec
• Liaise with our designer and integrate the existing UI/UX design elements with the application’s back-end
• Investigate technology solutions and present options for considerations
• Participate in testing activities
• Coach junior developers
• Bring enthusiasm, ideas and energy to the team, work hard, play hard and be part of an ambitious and driven start-up

Required skills

• Overall over 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong experience in HTML5/CSS3/JS stack
• Strong knowledge of jQuery for DOM Manipulation
• Experience in building single page applications using frameworks such as Angular JS or Durandal JS
• MVC programming pattern in any language or framework (Asp.Net, JSP, PHP, Python, Node.js)
• Confidence, to present and explain ideas to clients and colleagues

“Nice to have” skills and qualifications

• Experience in Agile development
• Worked with a CSS framework (e.g. Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
• Experience of working in a small scale development project in a collaborative environment
• Have used a Source control system at least once (SVN, GIT, Source Safe, Team Foundation Server)
• Worked with Asp.Net MVC Framework
