Hi, my name is Adam I’m from Poland and I’m .net developer. I have few question about the job market in Greece I hope that you will help me. Below I described some short story as an introduction and then I will ask few question about the job market for C# software developers.

My brother is living in Greece(almost  10 year) 2 months ago he has started learn C# programming because I noticed that he has some ability to work as a developer and he wants to change something in his life. It’s going well. But now I wonder  in which direction he should go(asp.net mvc/ web forms/ wpf), because I don’t know Greece market and he wants to stay there.

1) Is education important(I mean bachelor degree etc…) Do companies look at that?

2) Do interviewers look at microsoft certificates?

3) Which technology is more often used : asp.net mvc / asp.net web forms/ WPF / Win Forms / WCF  - I checked job offer but I prefer to get info from you

4) Is it hard to find internship for person with basic knowledge?

5) Is it possible to find a job without big portfolio?  

6) Do I have to introduce my stackoverflow/github/codeplex account when I’m looking the job?

7) Do you have any good idea how to help him find a job? (Currently he is not looking a job in this market - I think it's not a good time, I must extend his knowledge;) ).
