Standard όπως λέμε επίσημο, από κρατικό ή διεθνή οργανισμό, με συγκεκριμένες απαιτήσεις έτσι ώστε όλες οι υλοποιήσεις να είναι συμβατές μεταξύ τους, δεν υπάρχει για τον Blowfish. Ο Scneier δεν έγραψε κάποια υλοποίηση σε VB6 ή κάποιο ActiveX οπότε το ερώτημα είναι: Ποιά βιβλιοθήκη χρησιμοποιεί η εφαρμογή σου? </P> <P>Στο blog του ο Schneier έχει μία λίστα με <A href="http://www.schneier.com/blowfish-products.html">υλοποιήσεις</A> του Blowfish, μία από της οποίες είναι η <A href="http://www.hotpixel.net/software.html">Blowfish.NET</A> . Από τη στιγμή που το Blowfish δεν είναι standard, μπορεί ο καθένας να κάνει τη δική του υλοποίηση του αλγόριθμου η οποία δεν θα συμβαδίζει με τις άλλες.
