Microsoft Update Beta Announced

On Tuesday, Bill Gates announced Microsoft Update, a new service that will be previewed in the upcoming Microsoft Update Beta Program scheduled to begin in mid-March. During this beta, you will have the opportunity to test this new service and to provide valuable feedback to the Microsoft Update team. Key features of Microsoft Update (MU) include the following:

MU will offer security and reliability updates for Windows, Office, and other Microsoft applications in a single convenient location. Specific products and versions included in the beta will be identified in an announcement which will be sent to you in early March.
MU will enable users to install security and reliability updates for Windows and other Microsoft products using Automatic Updates.
