Microsoft tells MSDN Subscribers: NO Longhorn 5048 for you!
Και εκεί που όλοι περίμεναν να την κατεβάσουν από τα MSDN Subscription Downloads: 1 | Microsoft tells MSDN subscribers NO Longhorn 5048 for you! | r | MSDN Program Manager Andy Boyd is told not to release Longhorn build 5048 for download... Microsoft Program Manager for MSDN subscriptions Andy Boyd today confirmed that Longhorn build 5048 has been removed indefinately from MSDN. In the days since WinHEC 2005 when attendees were given a 3 DVD set of the latest available pre-beta build (5048) Andy Boyd had repeatedly confirmed it was to be posted to MSDN subscriber downloads this week. On Tuesday, Andy Boyd explained "Yep - I'm having it published now - the worldwide replication should take a day or so since there are x64 and 32 bit images, check/debug, symbol, and devkit CDs. I think about 6GB all in all. Anyway, that much code takes some time to fully replicate, but I'll shoot for tomorrow." By Thursday morning this had been revised with Andy advising "I have it in our system but it is currently on hold. I do have a firm go-live time and date, which I cannot announce as yet until some other communications get handled. Yes, I know it's frustrating, No, there's nothing I can do to speed things up. Check back next week for more news, I'll post a note here, on my blog, and update the RSS feed when the bits are live." Original Link | | George J.
