Γειά σας και καλή χρονιά.
κάποια στιγμή παρουσιάστηκε ένα πρόβλημα με τις φόρμες που ανοίγω με showdialog και InputBox.
όταν κλείνει η modal φόρμα παίρνω μήνυμα "External component has thrown an exception".
 όταν οι φόρμες ανοίγουν με show δεν υπάρχει κανένα πρόβλημα.
επισυνάπτω τον κώδικα εκκίνησης μήπως υπάρχει κάποιο πρόβλημα εδώ.

splash.Show()
splash.Update()

ApplicationMainForm = New frmMain

ApplicationMainForm.Show()
ApplicationMainForm.Update()

splash.Close()

το σκάσιμο συμβαίνει στο
Dim f As New frmLogin
f.Owner = Me f.ShowDialog(ApplicationMainForm)

και στο
Dim lfile As String
lfile = InputBox(strmsg)

το καλώ από την Applicationmainform όταν ο χρήστης διαλέξει την εντολή από το menu.

η sub main βρίσκεται στο module CommonCode.

(δεν ξέρω αν σε διαφώτισα)

ο λόγος που θέλω να είναι modal είναι για να μην μπορεί ο χρήστης να πατάει στα menu ενόσω γίνεται login στην database.

Αν η γραμμή

lfile = InputBox(strmsg)

είναι μέσα στην frmLogin τοτε το προβλημα ειναι ότι προσπαθείς να ανοίξεις μια Dialog (inputBox) από μέσα απο μία άλλη Dıalogç

Συμβαίνει κατι τέτοιο?

και αν δεν θες να βγάλεις το(Application.EnableVisualStyles() )

και νίωθεις τυχερός κάνε το Implementation Του τύπου
