    EUROPEAN DYNAMICS SA is a leading European Information Technology and Telecommunications (“IT&T”) company, operating in Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Holland, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Greece, as well as several other countries internationally. The company designs and develops software applications, and implements integrated state-of-the-art technology IT and telecoms projects. EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is a significant supplier of IT&T services to European Union Institutions, International organisations, European Agencies and National government Administrations, currently implementing a contracts portfolio of more than 100 Million Euros. 

     

    We wish to employ a Windows C/S Developer to provide his/her services in a major European Institution in Cologne-Germany. 

     

    Objectives

     

    • Maintain a set of existing MS ACCESS based applications.
    • Migrate the data fro MS ACCESS to Oracle and bring the necessary changes to the GUI.
    • Improve and monitor the quality of those databases.
    • Write technical documentation and fully comment all developments.
    • Track and eliminate bugs in cooperation with the project team.

     

    Mandatory skills

     

    • At least  10 years of experience with MS ACCESS and or Visual Basic.
    • Good knowledge of Oracle SQL & PL/SQL.
    • Good knowledge of MS SQLServer SQL and TSQL.
    • Ability to write structured, readable and reusable code.
    • Ability to coordinate with other developers as well as the users in an international environment.
    • Fluency in English.

     

    Optional skills

     

    • Good knowledge of French or German.

     

    Interpersonal Characteristics Required:

     

    • Results-oriented, resilient and able to achieve objectives focusing on the delivery of targets and quality whilst working to tight time schedules and using resources efficiently.
