What is the Windows Developer Workshop?
Windows 8 Developer Workshops are 3-day hands-on trainings to accelerate your Windows 8 Metro Style Application development. During this 3 day workshop you will get a comprehensive overview of the developer features in Windows 8. We are combining instructor led presentation with hands-on coding exercises for you to get both the theory and the practice. Basic coding skills are required. We will have hands-on labs in HTML/Javascript and XAML/C#. |

Workshop's Goals
The Windows 8 Development Workshop will provide you a deep understanding of Windows 8 Metro style development, including:
· Learn the Windows 8 Metro style application design principles
· Gain a deep, technical understanding of Metro style application development
· Get hands-on experience building Metro style applications and deploying them to the Windows Store |

Pre-work required before attending the Event
· Course Language: Greek
· Required Coding Skills
o Familiarity writing either desktop apps, mobile applications or developing websites.
o Familiarity with either Javascript, C# or C++ is preferred. Most samples will be in Javascript.
· Over Achievers' Skills. If you want to look smart, watch the following “big picture” sessions from the build conference prior to attending a camp:
o Build Keynote
o 8 traits of a great Windows Store app
o Platform for Windows Store apps
· Hardware
o Any device capable of running Windows 8 and Visual Studio Express.
o If the software is not already installed, you will need a partition with ~30 GB of free space to install the bits.

o Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows 8
o Download the Windows 8 SDK samples
o Live SDK
