Επιγραματικά αναφέρω ότι κάνω τα παρακάτω steps τα οποία αναφέρει η Microsoft στα MSDN files.
Συγκεκριμένα ακολουθώ τα παρακάτω βήματα: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/258929

Πριν το debugging μου πετάει αυτό το warning:

Unable to find Web Server. A possible cause of this is an incompartibility between versions of IIS on the client and the server.
The usual cause of this error is attempting to debug ASP pages on a Windows 2000 or newer server from a Windows NT4.0 client(κάτι το οποίο δεν ισχύει γιατί δουλεύω σε XP SP2 client). Unable to set server into current debugging state automatically. You may not be able to debug ASP pages. Do you want to continue launching the debugger?

Klikarw Yes...

Error: Error while trying to run project:Unable to start debugging on the web server.The debugger is not properly installed. Run setup to install or repair the debugger.


Το παραπάνω msdn file βοηθάει για να κάνω manual assign debugging αλλά διστυχώς έχω το ίδιο error.

Tο άρθρο που περιγράφεις είναι το β' μισό της διαδικασίας - το πως θα εκτελέσεις τον debugging επάνω στο server. Στο α' μισό που περιγράφει πως θα σετάρεις το server, δεν είναι σε αυτό το άρθρο. Την διαδικασία πως θα σετάρεις αρχικά στον server είναι στο άρθρο http://support.microsoft.com/kb/192011.

Προσοχή ASP debugging δεν μπορεί να γίνει στο Windows 2003 server (ΙΙS v6.0), παρά μόνο σε όλα τα προηγούμενα από αυτόν λειτουργικά (IIS v4.0, IIS v5.0, IIS v5.1)
