Mini-Mozilla browser marches toward Windows mobiles
1 | Mini-Mozilla marches toward Windows mobiles | r | Minimo, the Mozilla browser for mobile devices, is poised to move beyond Linux PDAs and onto Windows CE devices, according to the Mozilla Foundation. Current versions of Minimo work only on Linux-based PDAs (personal digital assistants), but a future version will debut this summer on Microsoft's Windows CE operating system, which is used on a variety of Pocket PCs and smart phones. Lead Minimo developer Doug Turner posted the first development build of Minimo for Pocket PC 2003--which is based on Windows CE--on a Web site last week. Turner said he hopes to release a stable version later in the year. Original Link

MiniMo(zilla) coming to a cell phone near you
Και μετά την ανακοίνωση και οι πρώτες φωτογραφίες του Browser...
1 | MiniMo(zilla) coming to a cell phone near you | r | I thought Asa was going to beat me to the punch with these photos. Here are a couple of photos of MiniMo on a cell phone and PDA taken on my camera by Doug or Asa, not sure who. Anyhow, it's very cool and can't wait for us (well, dougt) to get this out to people. A very rich browser experience on a PDA or cell phone is going to be interesting for both content developers and consumers. The form factor of cell phones and PDAs definitely presents a challenge, but you can see it's not too shabby in these two photos. Having access to the web via these devices is convenient and may prove invaluable. Original Link
