Job summary
The successful candidate will be part of Covve’s senior team
and exclusively focused on delivering the first commercial version of the
software.
Working in Covve’s agile product development team to create
the Covve software, collaborating with our designers and business leads.
Working in collaboration with senior software engineers to bring a broad range
of skills, from front-end development, to database design and manipulation,
testing and deployment.

feel that the time has come for the address book to make way to something more
relevant than the rolodex style format it has maintained. We have designed and
developed a prototype of a software-as-a-service, B2B tool for address book
visualisation, management and business lead generation.
Covve
is about to revolutionise how individuals and corporations capitalise on their
network of contacts.
Key responsibilities
Working in collaboration with our senior software engineers,
business leads and designers to:

Take ownership of packages of development work
and deliver them on time and on spec
·
Investigate technology solutions and present
options for considerations
·
Participate in testing activities
·
Develop documentation and diagrams to support
any code development
·
Coach junior developers
·
Bring enthusiasm, ideas and energy to the team,
work hard, play hard and be part of an ambitious and driven start-up
Required skills
·
Overall over 5 years of professional experience
· Worked with Microsoft Visual Studio
Any version
· Strong
.Net Framework development experience
· Worked with Asp.Net MVC Framework
· Strong skills on MS SQL Server/ MySQL
· Proven knowledge of Data Access
frameworks: Familiar with ORM like Hybernate and/or Entities Framework
· Have used a Source control system at
least once (SVN, GIT, Source Safe, Team Foundation Server)
· Confidence, to present and explain
ideas to clients and colleagues
· A matter-of-fact approach when ideas
are rejected
“Nice to have” skills
and qualifications
· University degree in Computer
Science or a relevant field of study
· Experience in Team foundation server
· Experience
in Agile development / continuous
integration
· Experience of working in a similar
scale development project in a collaborative environment
· Experience in managing teams
· Experience
in Windows Azure PaaS
· MVC programming pattern in any
language or framework (Asp.Net, JSP, PHP, Python, Node.js)
· Front-end development in JavaScript.
Knowledge of jQuery is mandatory
