You may have noticed at Vista's "Start menu" that the "Run..." command is missing. You may not miss it, since you can do most of its functionality using the "Search" area of the Start menu, but if you do miss it, you can make it show up again by right clicking the Start menu button and selecting "Properties", then select "Customize..." Just found out (by trial and error :-) that there's a quick way to insert the Euro symbol in Microsoft Word is to press CTRL+ALT+E (can use either an English or a Greek letter E, it seems to be insensitive to the current input language which is nice). Έχουμε μπει στον Δεκέμβριο και μπροστά μας είναι οι γιορτές. Πιστοί στο μηνιαίο μας ραντεβού, το 23ο dotNETZone Community Event την Πέμπτη, 11 Δεκεμβρίου στις 7.15μμ , στις εγκαταστάσεις της Microsoft Hellas (Κηφισίας 221, Μαρούσι ). Την παρουσίαση θα κάνει ο Νίκος Παλλαδινός ( palladin ) με θέμα « The Little FSharper ». Στο "How το Become a Hacker" ο Eric S. Raymond είχε γράψει το εξής: "LISP is worth learning for a different reason - the profound enlightenment experience you will have when you finally get it. That experience will make you a better programmer for the rest of your days, even if you never actually use LISP itself a lot". Νομίζω ότι το ίδιο μπορεί να ισχύσει και για την θέση της F# στο .Net ecosystem. Σε αυτή την παρουσίαση θα δούμε πως σχετίζονται κάποιες βασικές ιδέες που αντιπροσωπεύει η F#, με σχέση με αυτά που περιγράφει ο Raymond. In this post I would like how easy it is to use Visual Studio Tools for Office. If you have never heard before of VSTO just google it. In a few words it is a component of Visual Studio(since Visual Studio 2005) that provides a robust, .NET-based environment for building business applications using classic Office programs like Word and Excel.
