  Wow! New bird's eye imagery for Greece in Virtual Earth! So, on Saturday I was trying to find out where I need to drive my wife to for Sunday's elections (she was responsible for a "voting department" - if that's what they're called in English). She gave me the address and looked it up on the local mapping sites - it was quite easy to locate. Then I wanted to see aerial imagery, so I went to Google Maps, because in all honesty, their imagery of Athens used to be more recent.   Reflection, part One Το συγκεκριμένο blog post ξεκινάει από μια κουβέντα που είχα σε ένα άλλο forum, όπου μου ζητήθηκε να δώσω μερικές πληροφορίες για το Reflection στο .ΝΕΤ. Well, here it is!   Πρώτο Post! Καλησπέρα σε όλους. Πρώτο post στο δεύτερο μπλογκ μου, μέσα στον ίδιο μήνα (από εκεί που δεν ήξερα καν, ότι σημαίνει κάτι :P). Σιγά, σιγάααααααααα θα πειραματιστώ με τα css overrides του, αλλά πραγματικά είναι το λιγότερο που με απασχολεί αυτήν την στιγμή. Είμαστε στην μέση της εξεταστικής...τών εξεταστικών και πραγματικά η διάθεση είναι πεσμένη απείρως, αλλά ακόμα δεν έχουμε πιάσει πάτο. ΚΡΑΤΑΜΕ ΑΚΟΜΑ δύναμη.   Throw command difference in C# and VB.NET Have you ever noticed that throw command behaves somewhat differently in VB.NET and C#? See the following two code parts. It's the same thing written in VB.NET and C#. DummyMethod throws an exception (line 12) that is caught by a try/catch statement in the Main method.   DotNetNuke did it again! In general, I'm a great fun of DotNetNuke , the free, Open Source Framework for creating web portals. It is very powerful and easy to use. However it is full of bugs! Yes, it is. Most propably this is because the DNN team releases a new version once every couple of months! No to mention the intermediate relaeses of specific modules. You don't have to take my word for it. See the downloads page of the project. From January of 2007 there has been 5 releases! That is one release every 37 days !   A maniac serial killer may maintain your code! Recently I decided to dig up an old small project I created long time ago. It was a small tool I needed to fulfill a very specific requirement. It's name was something like 'SpecialUtility.ToExportThreeColumns.FromASpecialTable.OfAnNonPayingCustomer.csproj'. Fortunately, I tend to keep such tools.   Τεχνολογίες Εφαρμογών Διαδικτύου - 2ο εργαστήριο Σήμερα διεξήχθη στο τμήμα Πληροφορικής και Τηλεπικοινωνιών το δεύτερο εργαστήριο με θέμα την ASP .NET, στα πλαίσια του μαθήματος "Τεχνολογίες Εφαρμογών Διαδικτύου". Θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω θερμά τους Φοιτητές που ήρθανε και μας παρακολουθήσανε. Πραγματικά μας δίνετε δύναμη!! Τον Δημήτρη Ράπτη (dimis) και στον Στέλιο Καραμπασάκη (skarab) για την πολύτιμη βοήθειά τους στην επιλογή/σχεδιασμό/ανάλυση των θεμάτων που παρουσιάστηκαν καθώς και για την πολύτιμη βοήθειά τους κατά το 12ωρο των δύο εργαστηρίων.
