In this post I will show you how to build a simple WPF Application using the popular and well know MVVM (Model View View Model) pattern. I assume that you know the basics of XAML,WPF. I am going to use a hands-one example using Visual Studio and 2010. Before we go on and begin with our example I must say a few things about MVVM.Make a note that we can use this pattern when building Silverlight applications as well. So what is MVVM? So, this is not a direct Windows Azure post, but I use it also on my roles, so here it goes: I've been looking for a decent alternative to what I was using in the past for my installations, that is InstallAware. Sometimes things were randomly breaking (support for .NET, SQL Server installations failing for nothing etc) all because of the re-packaging habbit of the InstallAware engineers. Then I found Advanced Installer . I use it on my Windows Azure roles whenever I want to do a chain install (MSI 4.5) and instead of doing startup tasks one by one, I just create an MSI package using it and do everything in there. It's fast, it's reliable and it works. I also use it on installation solutions for the software we get out through my company. Updates support is a really cool thing that I was looking to just work out of the box, instead of having to necessarily wrap it around some clusmy scripting code. Πρόσφατα κυκλοφόρησε o Google Chrome 12 με αρκετές αλλαγές. Μία από αυτές, η οποία μου έκανε πολύ θετική εντύπωση, είναι η δυνατότητα που δίνει ο Browser να κάνει ένας Developer De-Obfuscate ένα Javascript κώδικα. Η δυνατότητα αυτή υπάρχει μέσα στο Scripts Panel (κάνοντας δεξί κλικ στον κώδικα και επιλέγοντας De-obfuscate source) και πραγματικά είναι πολύ καλή καθώς πολλές φορές δεν μπορείς να δεις τι γίνεται σε Javascript αν ο κώδικας έχει γίνει minimized. ...

In this blog post, we are going to see how and when Dependency Injection (DI) and Inversion of Control(IoC) can be applied for writing nice and maintainable code. Note that although there are plenty of tools out there that give you the ability to apply DI out of the box, in this post we are going to implement such a tool on our own gaining valuable insight on the workings of IoC and DI. Η Microsoft Ελλάς σε μία προσπάθεια να ευχαριστήσει τους συνεργάτες της που “ανέβασαν” τις εφαρμογές τους στο Windows Azure, ανήρτησε ένα ολοσέλιδο αφιέρωμα στην Καθημερινή της Κυριακής της προηγούμενη Κυριακή 29/5. Σε αυτό, εκτός από την ευχαριστία από πλευράς Microsoft, υπήρχαν τα λογότυπα των συνεργατών και δύο κουβέντες για τις εφαρμογές τους.
